Your data, plainly explained

Privacy policy

This explains what personal data LOUD collects when you visit our website, apply, sign up to our emails or get in touch, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have.

Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. Who we are

LOUD is a trading name of The Copy Club Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11449958). Our registered office is 20 Groveway, London, SW9 0AR, United Kingdom.

For the personal data described in this policy, The Copy Club Limited is the controller. That means we decide how and why your data is used, and we are responsible for looking after it.

2. What we collect

When you sign up to our emails

Your email address, the fact that you ticked the box to opt in, and the date and time you signed up.

When you apply to work with us

Applications are made through a form hosted by Typeform. We collect the details you choose to give us there, such as your name, email address, company, job title, LinkedIn profile and what you'd like help with.

When you email us

Your name, email address and anything you include in your message.

When you visit our website

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you visit. If you accept analytics or marketing cookies, we also collect information about how you use the site (see section 4).

If you become a client

We'll collect the information needed to deliver our service, such as interview notes, content drafts and your LinkedIn performance data. How we handle this is also covered in our client agreement.

We don't ask for special category data (such as health information). Please don't send it to us unless we've specifically agreed to it.

3. How we use it, and our lawful basis

UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each way we use your data. Here's how that works:

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

4. Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Some are strictly necessary for a website to work. Others help us understand how the site is used or show you relevant adverts.

We use the following tools. They only switch on after you've agreed using the cookie banner on our website, and you can change your mind at any time.

ToolProviderWhat it does
Google AnalyticsGoogleTells us how many people visit, where they come from and which pages they read
Meta PixelMeta (Facebook and Instagram)Measures the results of our adverts on Meta platforms and helps us show adverts to relevant people
LinkedIn Insight TagLinkedInMeasures the results of our LinkedIn adverts and helps us reach relevant professionals

These providers may combine this information with other data they hold about you, under their own privacy policies. Our fonts are hosted on our own website, so loading them doesn't share your details with anyone else.

We also store a small item on your device called loud-consent. It remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask you on every visit, and it's strictly necessary, so it doesn't need consent. If you accept analytics cookies, we also store loud-visited, which notes when you last visited so we can welcome you back. It's deleted as soon as you turn analytics cookies off. We ask again after 12 months.

You can change your choice at any time with , at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so won't stop the site from working.

5. Who we share it with

We use trusted suppliers to run LOUD. They only use your data to provide their service to us and must keep it secure.

  • Netlify: hosts our website and stores newsletter sign-ups.
  • Typeform: hosts our application form and stores your answers.
  • Google (Google Workspace): provides our email and business tools.
  • Google, Meta and LinkedIn: analytics and advertising, only if you accept those cookies.
  • Our email or newsletter platform: we're launching a newsletter on Substack. If we move our mailing list there, we'll only transfer the details of people who have opted in.
  • Companies in our group: LOUD is part of the Up Collective group. We may share your details with group companies where they help us deliver the service, for example our team members who work across the group.
  • Professional advisers: such as our accountants and lawyers, where needed.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

6. International transfers

Some of our suppliers, including Netlify, Google, Meta and LinkedIn, are based in or process data in the United States or elsewhere outside the UK. When your data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by an appropriate safeguard. That may be the UK–US Data Bridge where the supplier is certified, or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep it

  • Email sign-ups: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep a minimal record of your address so we don't email you again by mistake.
  • Applications that don't go ahead: up to 12 months, in case the timing is better later, then deleted.
  • Emails and enquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact with you.
  • Client records: for the length of our contract, plus 6 years for tax and legal reasons.
  • Analytics and advertising data: for the period set by each provider, typically 14 to 26 months.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to correct data that's wrong or incomplete.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances.
  • Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Objection: object to us using your data on the basis of legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
  • Portability: ask for data you gave us in a format you can take elsewhere.
  • Withdraw consent: wherever we rely on consent, including for emails and cookies.

To unsubscribe from our emails, use the link at the bottom of any email or email us. For any other request, email hello@be-loud.co. It's free, and we'll respond within one month.

9. Keeping it secure

We use reputable suppliers, encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and two-factor authentication on our accounts to protect your data. Only people who need your information to do their job can see it.

Our services are for business professionals and aren't aimed at anyone under 18.

11. Contact and complaints
